For Jose Antonio Del Valle Torres, entrepreneurship has been much more than about only building companies. Over more than 25 years, his professional journey has moved through corporate leadership, business creation, strategic advisory work, journalism, and social advocacy, with each chapter adding another dimension to his understanding of responsibility, power, and purpose.
His career began with an appreciation for organizational excellence and innovation. One of the most consequential chapters of Jose Antonio’s career began with Go Gaba, a product he developed and brought to market with the vision of creating meaningful value through innovation. His engagement with The Coca Cola Company eventually resulted in an ongoing prolonged dispute that, according to Jose Antonio, fundamentally changed his understanding of corporate power, institutional accountability, and justice.

Rather than viewing the experience simply as a compromised commercial relationship, he describes it as a turning point that forced him to examine the broader structures surrounding business and society.
The consequences, he says, extended far beyond the professional sphere. He describes losing his business, his country and his family, while living in exile because of accredited concerns for his safety.
Yet the experience also gave his work a new dimension.
What had once been primarily a journey of professional entrepreneurship became a personal commitment to accountability and social awareness.
SEEING THE SYSTEM FROM THE OTHER SIDE
Jose Antonio’s experience has shaped his view of the relationship between individuals, multinational corporations, governments, and institutions.
He believes one of the fundamental challenges of the modern global economy is that individuals generally operate within clearly defined national jurisdictions, while multinational organizations can function through complex structures across multiple countries evading social and legal responsiblity.
For him, this creates a difficult question of accountability.
When commercial power becomes global while legal and institutional mechanisms remain largely jurisdictional, he determines that individuals can find themselves at a structural disadvantage.
His perspective is not limited to his own dispute. He sees it as part of a wider conversation about how society should protect innovation, individual rights, and public interest even when significant economic interests are involved.
This belief has become one of the foundations of his continuing advocacy.
THE CREATION OF SOLIDARIDAD VALIENTE
In 2021, Jose Antonio founded Solidaridad Valiente after writing an open letter to Mexico’s then President Andrés Manuel López Obrador adressing corruption and institutional failures connected to his experience.
But the organization developed into something broader than a response to one dispute.
Solidaridad Valiente reflects Jose Antonio’s belief that meaningful national change cannot depend entirely on governments or institutions. It must also emerge through individual awareness, civic responsibility, and collective participation.
Its mission focuses on presenting Mexico through another lens by highlighting its cultural identity, tourism, gastronomy, creativity, and human talent.
Rather than allowing the country’s challenges to define its entire international identity, Jose Antonio wants to highlight the qualities that can allow Mexico to achieve a future of lasting prosperity and sustainable opportunities for its citizens.
For him, celebrating the country and confronting its weaknesses are not contradictory objectives. Both are necessary for meaningful progress.
JOURNALISM AS A TOOL FOR AWARENESS
This broader mission has also strengthened Jose Antonio’s connection with journalism and communication.
For him, journalism can play an important role in encouraging people to question dubious accepted narratives, understand difficult realities, and recognize possibilities for change.
His approach is rooted in awareness rather than simply criticism. By bringing attention to people, ideas, achievements, and issues that deserve greater visibility, he believes communication must contribute to a more conscious society.
That philosophy connects naturally with his entrepreneurial background. Both disciplines require curiosity, persistence, the ability to identify opportunities, and the courage to challenge harmful established assumptions.
